The Chieftain insert boiler stoves are a class leader when it comes to boiler stoves. The Chieftain heats up to 12 single radiators and the hot water and gives a max of 2kw to the room.

Airwash System

For an unobstructed view of the fire.
Airwash is the preheating of air and the funnelling of that air down the front of the glass. This ensures a clear view of the fire.

Clean Burn

Co Burn technology for a cleaner burn. C0 Burn Technology is the secondary burn of gas which would normally be emitted into the atmosphere. It means that you are doing your bit for the environment while saving hard earned cash. Who would have thought that helping to save the planet could also help save money.  

Output

17kW output with 15kW dedicated to water and 2kW to the room. The boiler is a full wraparound with the baffle constructed as part of the water jacket ensuring maximum heat output. The design ensures a rapid heat transfer. 
This stove is designed with a small output to the room so can be used in conjunction with a radiator in the room.

  • Can the stove be run before the plumbing is connected?

    No, it is dangerous. It will also void your warranty and will pose a serious health and safety risk.

  • Will a stove fix the draw on my chimney?

    No. A competant installer will create a solution which will help your problem whether it be draught reduction or increased draught. There are many solutions on the market.

  • Can I take the plumbing pipes from one side only?

    No the stove must be cross flowed so as to allow proper circulation within the boiler.

  • Can I install the stove myself?

    No, you must be a qualified heating engineer or competant installer/Plumber. The stove must be installed in accordance with local building regulations.

  • Do I have to insulate the stove?

    Yes you should put fire blanket or a non-combustible insulator to insure maximum output and efficiency.

  • Do I need an outside air pipe?

    Only if you have a HRV heating system or cannot for some reason put a vent on the wall. Building regulations must be followed.
