The all new Fiachra Freestanding

Output: 4.9kW Eco-Design
In 2008 as a small start-up business we launched the Fiachra Freestanding stove. Over the last decade it has been one of our best sellers. It has also not changed too much in that time. We feel the time has come for a facelift while respecting the integrity and spirit of the original stove. We’ve increased the glass size, got rid of glass curves and instead featuring them in the vents thus creating a clean modern version of a classic. We’ve also added a cool touch handle. Meets all requirements of the Eco-Design Directive which is now law.

Airwash System

For an unobstructed view of the fire.
Airwash is the preheating of air and the funnelling of that air down the front of the glass. This ensures a clear view of the fire.

Clean Burn

Co2 Burn technology for a cleaner burn. C02 Burn Technology is the secondary burn of gas which would normally be emitted into the atmosphere. It means that you are doing your bit for the environment while saving hard earned cash. Who would have thought that helping to save the planet could also help save money.

Central Air Intake (Optional)

Optional Central Air Intake Available (outside air feed). Central Air Intake is using air from outside the dwelling to draught the stove. It means that when you are using your stove there is no energy taken from the room the stove is in so therefore the stove is even more efficient. It is worth noting that Central Air Intake cannot be added on it must be factory fitted at time of order.

Output

4.9kW output to the room.  Combustion is achieved using a vermiculite lined firebox, easy to use controls all terminating in a 5" opening.

The Environment

79.4% Efficiency rating (Based on wood)

When burned correctly wood is probably the most environmentally friendly way to heat your house. Wood is a renewable heat source that requires minimal processing.

The Boru Stove Output calculator will give you an idea of the maximum kW output required for your room. If the room has poor insulation, vaulted ceilings or an offstandard shape then it is important to increase the required kW's upwards. Fill in the rooms dimensions below in mtrs or feet.

Heat Output Calculator

Simply key in your room measurements, and press "Calculate" to find the heat output required to adequately heat your room.

0 kW of heat output required

Note: For optimal output, please use fuel that has a moisture content of 20% or below.
